Description

This course uses the theoretical and methodological tools of sociology to explore issues of food: what we eat, who consumes it and how it is created. Students will explore how the ways our food is produced, marketed, distributed and consumed affect health and living. Students will meet the objectives of the course by completing of discussion boards for each of six units and a final paper analyzing a meal in terms of course concerns
